A guided tour – in either English or Italian – in the historical city centre to find out what Verona eats and why.
Do you know the origin of “pearà” and of “pastisada”?
Where was “pandoro” invented? What does “goto” mean? During this tour you will discover tales, anecdotes, legends regarding the typical products and dishes of Verona as well as the places where they originated.
Along the way you may enjoy a glass of wine or a tasting of local products.
A two hour walking tour will take us past Porta Borsari and on to Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza dei Signori. We continue to via Sottoriva – a charming historical street with a wide range of restaurants and wine bars and then to the river Adige.
Event dates: every Tuesday at 12.30 pm and every Friday at 5.30 pm.
Languages: either Italian or English.
Meeting point: Piazza Brà by the equestrian statue of Vittorio Emanuele II.
Duration of tour : 2 hours.
Rate per person: 15 Euros – the tour starts with a minimum of 8 participants – payment to be made to guide.
Costs for eventual wine and food tastings are to be paid for on-site.
